A pioneer in decision intelligence, Naeem works with leadership teams to build confidence in their decisions, reduce inequalities, and improve outcomes for communities.

As an advisor and coach to boards, he brings insatiable curiosity and optimism to explore what’s possible. He brings that same spirit to his role as chair of today’s webinar.

I’m a youth advocate from Greater Manchester, working with the Barnardo’s NHS Youth Forum, and have worked with NHS Charities Together as a peer researcher and youth health inspector. I’m incredibly eager and motivated about improving access and quality of care. Inputting my contributions in improving hospitals, youth spaces, and family hubs by bringing in real youth voice and my lived experience — including growing up in a community that often felt disconnected from these services.

Hugh has been Director Children’s Services for Barnardo’s since 2013. He is currently Director of Change for Children’s services. His role is to lead the re- design of Children’s Services, ensuring the organisation delivers the best services to Children and families as well as strategically ensuring Barnardo’s is the organisation of choice for commissioners and service users.

Hugh has been involved in many projects and initiatives involving vulnerable young people. He has a wealth of experience in working with young people and organisations. Initiating strategic management systems, winning contracts and establishing projects quickly and efficiently. Hugh has a passion for Equity and Equality and was EDI scrutineer for a Local Authority Children’s Trust. Starting in Electronic Engineering, Hugh is Youth and Community Work qualified. Has a degree in Community Education. A level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management as well as Prince 2 Foundation. .

Dani is executive lead for the Trust’s Vision 2030 strategy—an award-winning approach shaped by the voices of children, young people, families, and staff, supported by advanced analytics. It won Gold at the HSJ Partnership Awards 2024.

She leads system partnerships across health and care, and is the architect of Cheshire and Merseyside’s children and young people’s system. Dani also heads the region’s ‘Beyond’ Transformation Programme, focused on prevention, early intervention, and new models of care in areas like mental health, obesity, diabetes, and epilepsy. She co-designed the national health equity framework with Barnardo’s and the Institute for Health Equity.

Dani helped establish the Children and Young People’s Committee of the ICB and leads specialised networked care across the North West. With nearly 20 years’ experience across NHS and care settings, she’s known for building partnerships that improve outcomes.

Steve did his undergraduate and paediatric training around the North East of England between 1987 and 2003, but also spend 3.5 year in New Zealand and Australia during this time.

He has been a consultant paediatrician in Aberdeen since 2003, working as a general paediatrician and a respiratory paediatrician. His research interest include early origins of disease and monitoring asthma. Steve became RCPCH president in March 2024.
