Naeem Younis

Naeem is the founder and CEO of Strasys. He has over 20 years of experience in strategic transformation and helping leadership teams to make better decisions and embrace technological innovation.

At Strasys, Naeem is focused on pushing the boundaries in combining leading research, data analytics, new technologies and behavioural science to reimagine services and deliver better outcomes for their populations.

He has worked across the globe from policymaking and regulation to the provision of healthcare services. A regular contributor of thought leadership, he also acts as a coach and mentor to boards in developing high-performing leadership teams.

Naeem has been pioneering the translation of data into decision intelligence to help healthcare systems deliver real improvements and outcomes, impacting the lives of millions of people.

Over the last few years, he has supported the delivery of integrated care, the post-pandemic recovery and the strategic transformation of services such as mental health, cancer, children and young people and reducing health inequalities.

The key difference in his approach is shifting focus from services to people and population needs.

As well as growing Strasys, he is a passionate promoter of curiosity and ensuring the success of our clients and our people.

Outside of his work, Naeem is a big cricket enthusiast, a taxi driver to two teenagers and when time permits loves to travel.

Mark Jennings

Mark Jennings

Mark is the Chief Solutions & Services Officer at Strasys.

An experienced board executive with extensive experience in large-scale public sector transformation, Mark’s focus at Strasys is on leading and scaling up health system improvement and transformation programmes. Mark was attracted to Strasys by the way they empower clients to think in different and unique ways through the combination of deep analytics and creativity.

As someone who loves complex challenges, Mark is a highly respected leader in consulting with a passion for driving value. A pioneer for the practical adoption of AI within the UK public sector, Mark moulded his career at Accenture from 1999, leading their Health and Public Service practice as COO of Europe and latterly MD of UK and Ireland, which he grew to a £500m business.

Outside work, Mark enjoys reading and coaches his son’s rugby team.

Dr Nadeem Moghal

Nadeem is the Chief Innovation Officer at Strasys, helping organisations and leaders to learn to think differently and reimagine healthcare.

He worked for over 30 years in and for the NHS as a clinician and senior leader across several roles and NHS organisations: Clinical Director, Director of Strategy, and Medical Director. Nadeem has led and delivered several critical transformations improving clinical capability, standards, leadership, engagement, and culture.

Passionate about improving healthcare equality and life chances, he has been pioneering population-centric healthcare reform. Recently, he has been supporting the reshaping of care for children and young people, developing a national healthcare quality governance capability and enabling an integrated care health system.

Nadeem continues to coach and develop future clinical leaders through mentoring and the Strasys Academy. He has co-founded P3, a platform for professionals to develop and engage with their organisations, and AGA, to build better governance and reduce harm to patients.

He has also been an external examiner at the RCSI Institute of Leadership, a Clinical Director at the Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath), a Senior Clinical Fellow at the Nuffield Trust, and a lecturer at the Newcastle University Business School.

Dr Agnès Leotsakos

Agnès has been leading healthcare policy and transformation worldwide, delivering improvements in the health and wellbeing of communities.

She spent over 20 years at the World Health Organisation, working with health authorities to improve the quality and safety of health services. Agnès has also led high-profile global programmes on varied topics focusing on patient safety.

At Strasys, she combines her academic rigour and practical experience to help organisations and coach leaders tackle their most critical challenges. Recent engagements have included the development of integrated care systems, transforming patient safety and quality across the nation, education programmes to build the future clinical workforce.

As part of Strasys Innovation, Agnès co-founded Reijin, a platform to improve diagnosis and care for people living with dementia. She has published widely and is a regular speaker at major international conferences and across the media.

Agnès is an amateur theoretical physicist and a keen landscape and portrait painter.

Carl Sheldrick

Carl is an Associate Director and leads on decision intelligence, helping our clients discover new insights into their organisations.

He has over 20 years consulting experience and been at the forefront of pioneering analytics and modelling techniques supporting CCGs, Provider Trusts and ICSs to approach their challenges with new perspectives.

At Strasys, Carl combines the latest business intelligence tools and cloud services to develop products that support clients through complex decisions. Carl is passionate about making data meaningful and visualising analysis to bring information to life for a range of audiences.

He also works with clients to simplify the risks involved when adopting innovative technology, helping organisations understand and realise the true value of change.

Dr Azra Zyada

Dr Azra Chang

Azra is an experienced clinician with a wealth of experience in healthcare management, business development and research, across different markets internationally.

She brings a rich clinical, research and management experience to Strasys. A consultant anaesthetist and pain specialist, she has worked with several healthcare providers, academia and management consultancies.

At Strasys, Azra works with leaders to reimagine healthcare and improve population outcomes - helping leaders discover the art of the possible and learn to think differently.

Moaaz Khanani

Moaaz is the Managing Director of Strasys Arabia and is responsible for international growth, focusing on the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and North Africa.

He has over 20 years of experience across a range of industry verticals, having started his career in North America before moving to the Middle East. He has held several senior executive roles, including Chief Commercial and Chief Finance Officer with international corporate conglomerates.

At Strasys, he has helped clients develop and implement growth strategies, manage organisational re-structures, and improve operational efficiencies. Recently, he has been supporting the healthcare transformation agenda across the Middle East, including the Vision 2030 strategy in Saudi Arabia. He has in-depth knowledge of the market and has helped international organisations to enter the market successfully.

Moaaz is also a board member of KAMS Global, a Strasys partner organisation focusing on the Aviation industry. He also leads the Strasys investment portfolio of companies ranging from Digital Health, Real Estate, Retail and Education.

Naturally, Moaaz loves to either be on or around planes. But when he is not, he spends as much quality time with his family.

Lesley Doherty

Lesley has been at the forefront of driving clinical excellence and improving patients’ experience of health and care services.

A qualified nurse, she has over 30 years of experience as a clinician and executive in healthcare. Lesley has held several leadership roles, including Director of Nursing, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Executive. She has worked and been a board member across both commissioning and provider organisations, as well as being a national policy advisor.

At Strasys, Lesley works with organisations to improve patient care by making health and social systems ‘work’. Combining her clinical and management experience in frontline services, she helps clients simplify complex agendas, overcome political hurdles, and change the way they operate to deliver real value to patients. Lesley has worked with organisations in Australia, Ireland, the US, the Middle East as well the UK.

With her coaching and collaborative approach, she has recently been supporting the implementation of new models of care, collaborative provider models, addressing staffing and workforce issues, and reducing healthcare inequalities.

Outside work she is a keen traveller, loves music and enjoys spending time with the family.

David Meikle

David has over 30 years of experience leading organisations within complex stakeholder environments to innovate and improve services for their consumers.

As a finance executive, he has helped a wide range of healthcare organisations to address their triple challenge of quality, cost and performance improvements. After qualifying as an accountant, he worked in the private sector before moving into the NHS, where he held various CEO and CFO positions across both commissioning and provider organisations.

At Strasys, David leverages his extensive experience in financial management, operational leadership, and organisational development to enable clients to develop and execute strategies to improve the quality of care. He has recently supported large-scale infrastructure development programmes (as part of a national new hospital build initiative), performance improvement of hospitals and the financial transformation of health systems.

David is passionate about growing individuals and teams to build sustainable personal growth that adds value to our clients. He is a mentor and coach and continues to focus on developing the next generation of finance leaders in health.

Outside of work, David is a keen golfer and loves spending time with his family and friends.

Dusty Amroliwala

Dusty’s career spans seven very different sectors, with senior roles in defence, international diplomacy, the UK civil service, higher education, health, the judiciary, and the global corporate world. From 2001 to 2017, Dusty was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of East London and the founder Chair of the London Design and Engineering University Technical College.

Dusty has held several Board appointments recently, including as a Trustee of Combat Stress (a charity helping former servicemen and women deal with issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and depression. He has also served (from 2017 until 2019) as Chair of North Middlesex University Hospital Trust.

From October 2015 until August 2022, Dusty served as a lay member of the UK’s Judicial Conduct Investigation Office, an appointment conferred by the Lord Chancellor.

At Strasys, Dusty is a member of the Board, advising and shaping the organisation’s growth across international markets. He also provides leadership support in complex and critical engagements.

Dusty is also the Chair of Vitacheck Health, the Chair of Student Circus (a unique recruitment platform for international students), and serves as a Partner with Ekim Consulting, representing the company’s interests in Dubai.

Richard Ellison-Smith

Richard has been directly involved in developing people and organisations since 1990. Before that, he was a general manager in a multi-national industrial business.

As Director of Connexions for Strasys, Richard supports clients through all stages of strategy, decision intelligence or development project. His passion is helping individuals, teams, and organisations successfully navigate the often radical change they have defined for themselves.

Richard defines himself as an accelerator helping senior teams and individuals structure their thinking, plans and actual behaviour to match their ambition. He is a firm believer in challenging those he works with to stretch their view of “the art of the possible”. He also sees himself as a realist. For any change, practical issues must be objectively analysed and tackled pragmatically.

After supporting more than 250 different organisations in both the public and private sectors, Richard has experienced an enormous range of situations and circumstances in partnership with his clients. He also has considerable experience in responding to the challenges associated with healthcare.

Away from work, Richard loves his family and grandchildren, travelling and relishing the opportunity to grow old disgracefully.

Ali Rogan

Ali Rogan

Ali is a strategic communications and external affairs expert, supporting Strasys in redefining its value propositions, listening and learning from key clients, helping reshape thinking in order to increase visibility.

With over 30 years’ experience she has worked in a variety of sectors, specialising in health, care, housing, digital health, and technology. She is a founding member of the Prime Minister’s Dementia Challenge, chairing their dementia friendly technology group.

A strategic thinker with a strong work ethic, she is innovative, inventive, and resourceful when seeking the best way forward. She believes in truly understanding needs to support the wider organisation achieve its vision.

Outside work, she enjoys keeping fit, travelling and music.

Shakeel Mowla

Shakeel has over 20 years of experience as a collaborative transformation leader nurturing high-performance organisations and delivering large-scale and complex programmes.

He has worked with organisations in both private and public sectors to establish value-creating behaviours and capabilities built around agile innovation. Has researched and developed new, experience-led approaches towards culture change that enable leadership, and peer groups, to ‘learn by doing’ and purposefully steer their impact on performance.

Shakeel helps organisation to build high-performing leadership teams, enabling them to develop the talent and capability to innovate and transform their organisations. He has also supported several healthcare organisations to transition to integrated care and deliver genuine patient service innovations.

He has held several senior leadership positions across multiple sectors from healthcare, aviation and financial services, including BUPA, UK Government, Cathay Pacific, and EY.

Meena Battu

Meena Battu

Meena is an experienced healthcare leader with over 18 years of experience in the NHS, transforming services to improve patient care and outcomes.

Over the last few years, she has been leading the transformation of primary care services and improving the quality of care. Meena is an expert in optimising healthcare business operations and regulatory compliance.

At Strasys, Meena's focus is the development of the next generation of healthcare leaders through Strasys Academy, working with our academic and partner ecosystem.

Meena continues to have a portfolio of activities, including the management of a network of GP practices in London, UK.

Prof Giovanni Forchini

Giovanni has 20 years of experience as an academic practitioner of data analytics and data science. He has been at the forefront of leading research in econometrics and statistics and has contributed to various areas, including time series, panel data, mathematical statistics and statistical inference.

At Strasys, Giovanni leads our strategic insight work, collaborating with clients to solve their business challenges and improve decision-making through data analytics, mathematical reasoning and developing decision-intelligence capabilities.

Before Strasys, Giovanni was a university researcher and teacher of econometrics, statistics and mathematics working in the UK and Australia. He is also currently serving as a professor at Umea University.

Christiana Ntolakai

Christiana is the Analyst of Strasys’ team, passionate about utilizing her analytical skills to resolve complex business problems by coming up with creative solutions. She is a recent graduate from Imperial College Business School in London, holding a master's degree in Business Analytics. During her postgraduate studies, she has applied her business acumen and technical skills to different project areas such as healthcare, digital and marketing, and workforce.

At Strasys, Christiana conducts the data gathering and cleansing process before interpreting, analysing and producing insightful data-driven strategic analysis. She is simplifying the insight reports to help executives and others understand the operational impact of the data.

She is responsible for the market research and analysis and contributes to people development initiative and product development and design to support clients.
