The role

We are looking for talented individuals to join us as Principal Advisors, supporting the growth of Strasys and delivering exceptional value to our partners. This role has some flexibility in both work hours and location, which is ideal for people with shared caring responsibilities or looking for a good balance.

Strasys is a unique firm that has set out to disrupt the consulting market and help clients address their most complex challenges by improving the quality and consistency of their decision-making.

We partner with global brands, governments, start-ups, and public-sector organisations to help them navigate and innovate in complex environments. We enable them to challenge conventional thinking, cultivate deep insights, change mindsets, create innovative strategies and solutions, and embed the capabilities and behaviours to succeed.

As a Principal Advisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing decision intelligence and organisational intelligence expertise, with advisory, analytics, machine learning, and system dynamics specialisms.
  • Delivering one or more contracts for client services typically means running a project or programme of projects that help a client with advisory, analytics, or academy (coaching and capability building) services and leading a team in delivering those services.
  • Commercial and financial management of the contracts for which you are responsible.
  • Business development – helping to sell new work and grow Strasys.
  • Collaboration with the wider Strasys team and contribution to developing the intellectual property, business strategy and broader growth of Strasys.

We have a relatively flat structure, and you will have the opportunity to shape your role and contribute to our growing organisation. We provide a unique environment to accelerate and build your career whilst working flexibly.

5+ years of experience in professional services.
  • Great people skills – ability to deal in a professional and friendly manner with a diverse team, both internally and across our partner organisations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including communication, management of expectations, recommendations, quality of outputs, and working accurately to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams, lead teams and to work autonomously when required.
  • Ability to empathise with, engage and inspire others at all levels, even in challenging settings.
  • Quick to learn, ability to prioritise activities and be responsive to the needs of the business.
  • Ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Self-awareness, tenacity and stamina to relentlessly focus on driving improvements.
  • A degree, Master’s, or PhD from a leading university in Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Computer Science incorporating Data Science or analytics-based modules.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with high quality written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in commercials, contract and financial (P&L) management is preferable.
  • Experience in Business Development of professional services and relationship-based sales.
  • Very strong skills in Microsoft Office tooling, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Skills in Miro, Monday.com, Microsoft Fabric, and PowerBI are desirable.
  • Existing skills in System Thinking and System Dynamics are preferred but not essential if you are willing to learn.
  • Existing work experience in / with UK healthcare organisations is preferred but not essential.

What we offer

  • Flexibility in location and schedule. This is a full-time role, but we can agree to some flexibility in when the work is done and will consider requests for part-time work over a minimum of 3 days per week. See the Work Location section below for flexibility on location.
  • A competitive package (variable based on experience), pro-rated to your work hours. Additional ability to earn a share (up to 8% based on agreed criteria) of gross profits you directly control – i.e., from engagements you sell, manage, and deliver. The upside is uncapped in volume – the more good, profitable work you deliver, the more you earn – but tied to customer feedback as well as profitability.
  • This is an opportunity to work with smart, interesting people from diverse backgrounds to solve our clients’ most complex challenges.
  • Work daily with senior colleagues and clients in a collegiate environment, accelerating your learning and experience.
  • The room to think, innovate and challenge to create leading-edge bespoke solutions.
  • Meaningful work where you can have an impact and make a real difference.
  • Support for you to learn, grow, and develop deep industry and client insight through structured training.
  • The ability to spend time giving something back to the causes you believe in (3 days of charity work a year).
