About Agnes
When a government needs to redesign its healthcare system, the World Health Organization sends its best people. For over 20 years, Agnes Leotsakos was one of them. She now brings that global perspective to Strasys.
Dr Leotsakos joins Strasys from the WHO, where she led global healthcare improvement programmes across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa. As Leader of Global Capacity Building and Education in Safety and Quality of Service Delivery, she led programmes in healthcare standardisation and patient safety solutions. She chaired several patient safety global committees, served as a WHO representative at the High 5s Steering Group, and was a member of ISQua's education committee.
She has helped healthcare leaders on every continent to challenge conventional thinking and improve the quality and safety of services.
Agnes is a highly respected public health consultant who has published over 90 papers. She is passionate about addressing healthcare inequalities and improving care for ageing populations. She co-founded an NGO focused on health system improvement and is a regular public speaker advocating for better, safer care.
At Strasys, Agnes provides strategic and leadership support to clients transforming health and social care systems. Her work bridges the gap between global best practice and local implementation, helping leadership teams adopt approaches that are proven internationally and adapted for the specific challenges of their own systems. She also serves as an executive coach, developing the leadership capability that sustains improvement over time.
