Strasys is a Decision Intelligence organisation for healthcare. We work inside a health system responsible for roughly four to five per cent of England's total carbon footprint, and we do not treat our own environmental responsibility as separate from that mission. As a remote-first business with no permanent office and no corporate fleet, our operational footprint is small by design, and we intend to keep it that way as we grow.
1. Our commitment to Net Zero
Strasys Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions across our operations by 2045, five years ahead of the UK Government's 2050 target. We maintain our direct operational emissions, Scope 1 and Scope 2, at Net Zero, and are reducing our remaining footprint, overwhelmingly business travel, to Net Zero by that date.
2. FY26 progress
In FY26, our reported emissions fell to 5.58 tCO₂e, a reduction of around 17% against our FY25 baseline, driven by a 20% cut in business travel, our largest single source. Scope 1 and Scope 2 remain at zero, as they have since we began measuring.
3. Beyond our own footprint
The carbon we help our clients remove from their own operations matters more to Net Zero than anything we avoid in ours. A substantial share of NHS emissions is embedded in the delivery of care itself: unnecessary follow-ups, avoidable admissions, duplicated diagnostics, and activity that consumes resource and carbon without improving outcomes for patients. Identifying and removing that low-value activity is precisely what Strasys exists to do, and the carbon taken out of a health system through better decisions is of an order of magnitude that dwarfs our own operational footprint.
